In our last blog post we explained what a ground source heat pump is. Today we are going show you a few creative ways you can hide your heat pump.

This is a question we get asked quite often here at Red Blue Heating and Refrigeration. Just about all the heat pumps we install are done so outside. Over the years they have made them more and more visually appealing. But they can still be very ugly and present some safety concerns if you have children.

Box It Up

There are a few different ways you can go about covering up your heat pump. The easiest way is to build a box around it. You'll want to make sure you have enough room around the heat pump so it doesn't over heat. Here are some good examples on Pinterest for all you visually people out there>

Landscaping

A far more visually appealing look over boxing up your heat pump would be to add some landscaping around it. Again you want to be sure you give it some space so the heat pump doesn't over heat. Here's a good article on plants you can grow around a heat pump.

No matter what method you choose you'll want to do something to make your heat pump more safe and visually appealing.
